Alliance Leisure has completed the refurbishment of two gym spaces at the Sport Wales National Centre, enhancing the workout experience at the home of Welsh sport. This forms part of a wider programme of Sport Wales-funded projects currently underway, including the development of the country’s first interactive squash court.
Working in collaboration with Orbit4, who redesigned the cardio and free weights rooms, the £250,000 project involved a comprehensive overhaul of both areas. This included the installation of new equipment, updated flooring, and full redecoration throughout. The layout of each space was carefully planned in partnership with Sport Wales to reflect the member journey and meet the specific needs of the Centre’s 800 members.
To complete the transformation, the creative team at Alliance Leisure’s marketing agency, TA6, delivered bold new graphics and branding, aligned with the Sport Wales identity, to inject energy and cohesion into the revitalised environment.
This tailored and impactful project is already delivering benefits to members and is testament to the fact that enhancing member experiences doesn’t always require investments running to millions of pounds. By actively listening to customers and gaining a deep understanding of their needs, you can optimise spaces to serve members better to retain them for longer.
